Gus is a minaiture donkey. He came to Sand Hill Stable after he was rejected by his mother at a week old. He was born September 9, 2010. He has a minature horse friend and mentor named Silverado. Silverado is owned by Marvin and Lynn Bowers of Heart of Gold Minis (http://heartgoldminis.tripod.com/index.html).

Late March
Gus meets his new herdmate Jill for the first time. As you can see he is not too sure of the bigger horse. After a week or two Gus and Jill have developed a friendship. Gus is about 6 1/2 months in this video and has been gelded.

Gus is about 9 months old here and has definitely gotten over his fear of Jill. He now chases her around! We had just started clipping Jill in this video. It took a few days to get the job done.

Dusty just arrived at the farm. Here we are introducing Gus to Dusty. Gus was not too thrilled about meeting Dusty. It took a few days for Gus to get used to having to get used to having Dusty around.
